
Frosty temperatures and even a sprinkling of snow could not keep supporters of the German record champions away from watching their idols at work at Säbener Straße on Thursday. At FC Bayern’s open training session, many fans got to see how diligently the team, under the guidance of head coach Vincent Kompany, are preparing for the tasks ahead such as Saturday’s Bundesliga match at home to SC Freiburg as well as the big Champions League clash away to Arsenal FC next Wednesday. The attendance clearled pleased the players and staff, who stayed behind after the session to sign autographs and pose for selfies.

With the likes of Luis Díaz and Harry Kane back from international duty, the group warmed up in freezing November temperatures before doing a number of match situation drills and finishing practice in the session, which lasted around 75 minutes. Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich trained individually to manage their workload, while goalkeeper Manuel Neuer sat out following a stomach bug.
Freiburg face-off
It’s back to serious business at club level for the Bayern boys as they welcome Freiburg to the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga on Saturday. That’s followed by the Champions League showdown at Arsenal on Wednesday 26 November.
