Dayot Upamecano has signed a new contract at Bayern until 30 June 2030 as the club secures the long-term services of a pillar of the team. The 27-year-old France international has been at the Allianz Arena since the 2021/22 season, so far winning three Bundesliga titles and three domestic Supercups.

Upamecano joined Bayern from RB Leipzig five years ago and has since made 180 competitive appearances for the club, scoring six goals and providing nine assists. The centre-back also has 35 caps (two goals) for France, winning the UEFA Nations League in 2021 and playing in the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina.
