The dates and kick-off times for the opening four matchdays of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season have now been confirmed, covering Bayern’s games up until the first international break at the end of September.
Saturday night at Schalke
Bayern already knew they would open the season at home to VfB Stuttgart as defending champions on Friday, 28 August (20:30 CEST). Vincent Kompany’s team will then visit promoted Schalke on Saturday, 5 September (18:30) before going to top-flight debutants Elversberg on Sunday, 13 September (17:30). The visitors to Munich on the opening weekend of the 191st Oktoberfest are Union Berlin on Friday, 18 September (20:30).
