Ismael Saibari named Netherlands’ Footballer of the Year

Bayern’s new signing Ismael Saibari has been voted the 2025/26 Footballer of the Year in the Netherlands. The forward helped PSV Eindhoven win the Eredivisie and Johann Cruyff Shield last season, scoring 19 goals and providing nine assists across 37 competitive appearances. Those efforts have now seen the 25-year-old awarded the Gouden Schoen as the best player in the Netherlands last year. The trophy is one of his boots in gold.

Saibari also caught the eye at the summer’s World Cup, scoring three goals as Morocco progressed into the knockout stages. He then completed his move to Bayern, where his versatility, attacking prowess and international experience make him a great addition.
