Michael Olise remains the dominant figure in FC Bayern’s fan polls: following his award in August, the Frenchman has now also been voted Player of the Month for September. With 74.2 per cent of the vote, the forward came out on top ahead of Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.
This means Olise has now won the award for the second time in the 2026/27 season. In September, the 24-year-old picked up seamlessly where he left off at the start of the season, impressing with his technical skills, his scoring threat and his key role in the Munich side’s attacking game.

In the DFB Cup, Olise put the 4–1 victory at VfL Osnabrück beyond doubt with his goal to make it 3–1. After winning the ball, the Frenchman beat his marker and lobbed the home side’s goalkeeper in spectacular fashion.
Olise really showed his class a few days later in the Champions League. In the 5–0 win against FK Bodø/Glimt, he first set up Harry Kane’s goal to make it 2–0 with a free-kick before stealing the show himself: with a skilful shot from around 20 metres, Olise found the top left-hand corner to make it 4–0, and in stoppage time he capitalised on a mistake by the visitors’ defence to wrap up the 5–0 win.
The lightning-fast winger was unstoppable in the 7–0 thrashing of Union Berlin too. Just before half-time, Olise made it 3–0 with a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area. After the break, he set up Harry Kane for the fourth goal and then capped off a superb performance with two more goals. Olise ended the match with a hat-trick and an assist to his name.
Second POTM award in a row
The fact that the Frenchman was a constant threat in the rest of the September fixtures was evident, amongst other things, in the 2–1 win at SV Elversberg. There, he was denied a goal only by the crossbar. In the goalless draw at Schalke, Olise was initially rested and later came off the bench.
With a total of six goals and two assists in competitive matches in September, the Frenchman had a major impact on the month. So his award from the fans is a fitting tribute in a month in which Olise once again demonstrated just how crucial his contributions can be for FC Bayern.
