We first have to realise what we’ve all achieved here together in the last three years,” said director Bianca Rech. “I’m really proud of the whole team: today we’ll enjoy what we’ve achieved,” commented Alexander Straus after his third Bundesliga title in his third and final year as head coach. fcbayern.com has gathered more reaction for you.
Reaction to the win over Freiburg

Bianca Rech (director of FC Bayern Women): “It almost feels a bit surreal. It’s absolutely special, three titles in a row – I can’t quite believe it. We first have to realise what we’ve all achieved here together in the last three years. The way we’ve battled through the season, despite periods that weren’t always easy, shows the togetherness and strength of the squad.”
Alexander Straus: “I’m really proud of the whole team: today we’ll enjoy what we’ve achieved. We’ve worked really well together over the last three years and achieved a lot. We’ve undergone a great development, especially in many areas that aren’t as visible from the outside, and that’s another reason we get to celebrate the title for the third year in a row.”

Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir: “It’s an unbelievable feeling! We wanted to wrap up the title as early as possible – and to have done it here in front of our fans is just unreal. For me personally, it was particularly nice to come on and help the team straight away with a goal. I’m just over the moon. Obviously we’ll celebrate the title now – but only to a point that doesn’t affect our preparation for Thursday. Still, titles need to be celebrated!”
Sarah Zadrazil: “It just feels awesome to be champions again. The league is the most important title for us. It really hasn’t been easy across the whole season, but I’m super proud of the team and now it’s about enjoying it. Even though it’s already the third title in a row and my fourth overall, each time is special. We won’t celebrate for that long today, though, because we have one more job to do on Thursday. We want to make history there.”

Giulia Gwinn: “It’s hard to describe right now. It might be my fourth league title personally but it’s still something special every time because every season has its own story. We struggled today, particularly in the first half, but then played good football again towards the end and even created a couple of other chances. I’m just over the moon. We wanted to become champions on our turf today. Freiburg really didn’t make it easy for us but we knew that would be the case beforehand. To celebrate here in front of our own fans makes it even nicer.”
Carolin Simon: “We’re just happy and extremely proud right now. It’s been an intensive season and a tough second half – we’ve invested a huge amount and put everything into it. Now we can deservedly call ourselves champions. First and foremost, we wanted to seal the title at home together with our fans. We felt over the 90 minutes today and over the whole season how much they’re behind us. It’s a nice feeling to give them something back and celebrate it together. We’ll enjoy the moment today, but from tomorrow the full focus is on the important game on Thursday.”

Jovana Damnjanović: “The title is a huge relief for us because we know full well how much work we’ve put in. A lot of people thought that someone else would win the title this year, but in the end we’ve done it again – the trophy is staying here! We’re very proud to have claimed the title again and today we can celebrate a bit – not too much, but a beer shower is always good! Then on Thursday, we want to do the double and make more history.”
