Before the business end of the season, the second international of the break of the year is on the programme for several FC Bayern Women players. As well as friendlies, the focus is again on World Cup qualification. fcbayern.com gives you an overview of the call-ups and some clashes with FCB involvement on both sides that you can look forward to.
Gwinn and Co face Dunst and Plattner
In Group A4 of World Cup qualifying, Germany have a double-header against neighbours Austria. Giulia Gwinn, Franziska Kett, Linda Dallmann and Ena Mahmutovic will come up against their Bayern teammates Barbara Dunst and Maria Plattner in both the first meeting on Tuesday 14 April at the Max-Morlock-Stadion in Nuremberg (18:15*) and the return match in Ried on Saturday 18 April (18:00).
Other FCB clashes in World Cup qualifying

Georgia Stanway and England kick off on Tuesday 14 April (20:00) against Spain – including her teammate Edna Imade – at Wembley Stadium in London. The Lionesses then travel to Iceland for the historic 500th international in the association’s history, where Stanway will encounter another familiar face in captain Glódís Viggósdóttir (18 April, 18:30).
Pernille Harder and Stine Ballisager are also in World Cup qualifying action with Denmark. They face a tricky assignment in Sweden on 14 April (19:00), before hosting Italy and Arianna Caruso next Saturday afternoon (18 April, 15:00).
Gilles, Amani & Tanikawa in friendly action

Natalia Padilla Bida completes the set of FCB players involved in European qualifying for next year’s World Cup. The attacker’s Poland side have a double-header against Republic of Ireland on 14 April (18:00) and 18 April (16:00).
Meanwhile, several friendlies are on the schedule for Vanessa Gilles, Bernadette Amani and Momoko Tanikawa. Gilles and Canada take on Zambia and South Korea before travelling to World Cup hosts Brazil.
Amani and Ivory Coast are also contesting three friendlies against Mauritania (9 April, 21:30), Turks and Caicos Islands (12 April, 21:30) and Pakistan (16 April, 21:30), while freshly crowned Asian Cup champion Tanikawa faces a triple-header against USA with Japan (11 April, 23:30, 15 April, 4:00 & 18 April, 3:00).
Mala Grohs is in the Germany U23 squad for a meeting with their Belgian counterparts on 12 April (19:00) in Murcia (live broadcast on the DFB YouTube channel). Coach Michael Urbansky’s side finished the U23 international season in third place in February and will now battle it out for fifth place in the April international window. The game against Belgium will be followed by the play-off for either fifth or seventh place against Italy or Portgual on 16 April (17:30).
