Pre-season training kicks off with Intensive session

They're back! On Friday the 2020 treble winners trained for the first time again on the Säbener Straße training ground. Barely three weeks after the triumph in Lisbon, FC Bayern started their short pre-season for the new campaign, which will kick off next Friday with the Bundesliga opener against Schalke 04.

Flick absent - Boateng and Davies train individually

After three days of corona tests, virtual training and performance diagnostics, they got back onto the pitch for the first time - unfortunately without Hansi Flick. The head coach of the Champions League winners was attending the funeral of the Hoffenheim president Peter Hofmann, who passed away a week ago. Assistant coach Hermann Gerland took charge of the session in his place. In addition, the injured Tanguy Nianzou was also absent, Jérôme Boateng worked individually on the adjacent pitch and Alphonso Davies completed his programme at the performance centre.

Grafting for new success
