FC Bayern scored 139 goals in 50 matches in all competitions last season. Robert Lewandowski, of course, scored the most of them with 48 – but the best came from Joshua Kimmich. At least that's how the fans of the record champions saw it, selecting the Bayern No. 6's strike against Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup as their 2020/21 Goal of the Season with 31% of the votes.

It was a goal that epitomises Kimmich. After running half the length of the pitch, his first attempt was blocked, but as he was falling he managed to lift the ball with great skill and determination over goalkeeper Marwin Nitz and into the net. It was the winning goal in a 3-2 victory for Bayern, clinching the trophy. Kimmich's commitment has now been rewarded again by the fans.
Lewandowski takes second and third

It was a close-run contest, however. Lewandowski's magnificent scissor-kick to make it 3-0 in the home match against Borussia Mönchengladbach was just behind in second place with 29 percent. Third place also went to the Best FIFA Men's Player for his goal against Arminia Bielefeld on Matchday 21, when the record goalscorer chested the ball down and smashed it into the net on the turn.
