Bayern have made a blistering start to 2022/23 with a thrilling 5-3 victory over RB Leipzig and the first title of the campaign in the Supercup, followed by a dominant display in the 6-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt to kick off the Bundesliga season. Now Julian Nagelsmann’s team are preparing for their first home game of the campaign as Bayern host Wolfsburg on Sunday. The champions want to take the momentum from those outstanding opening displays into the first match at the Allianz Arena for over three months.
Bayern begin preparations for Wolfsburg
Bayern began their preparations for the Wolfsburg fixture on Tuesday. Nagelsmann welcomed his squad to an almost two-hour training session in the morning at sunny Säbener Straße. That included Matthijs de Ligt, Kingsley Coman, Mathys Tel and Sadio Mane, who put in extra individual sessions on Monday as the rest of the team took a day off. After warming up with some stabilisation exercises, Thomas Müller & Co. completed some tactical drills. The session finished with some intense runs across the pitch. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting trained alone after his kidney stone operation. Bayern are getting ready to kick off the first home game of the new season.
