Round-up of Bayern’s 2023 AGM

This year's FC Bayern München annual general meeting took place on Sunday at the Rudi-Sedlmayer-Halle. The German record champions looked back on a successful year. fcbayern.com provides an overview of the most important events.

To begin, president Herbert Hainer emphasised FC Bayern's social commitment in his speech and announced a new record of 316,000 members. The 69-year-old also gave a sporting review and thanked the members and fans. "Manuel Neuer keeps the balls out, Joshua Kimmich distributes the balls, Harry Kane scores the goals, Thomas Müller is simply Thomas Müller. But you, who are sitting here today, you are the heart whose pulse drives our entire club. We don't need someone who only knows how not to do it. We need you, who know exactly how to do it. Namely, always together - in the spirit of our FC Bayern Munich. Let's always look to the future with optimism. The future always means: FC Bayern Munich!"

The two vice-presidents Prof Dr Dieter Mayer and Walter Mennekes looked back on the economic and sporting results of the members’ club in the past year.

In his first AGM speech as CEO of FC Bayern, Jan-Christian Dreesen emphasised his guiding principle of ‘for each other and with each other’. "We need trust, courage and honesty. We must not allow ourselves to be lulled by the successes of the past, because they are no guarantee for success in the future." The motto for the coming years is: "Stay hungry, stick together and never give up."

It was the first AGM for vice-chairman and CFO Dr Michael Diederich. And the 58-year-old presented figures that should bring a smile to the face of every FCB fan.
