FC Bayern Audi Summer Tour Seoul

Recap: What happened on Saturday in Seoul

The highlight of the third day of the Audi Summer Tour was, of course, FC Bayern's friendly against Tottenham Hotspur in front of 63,496 fans at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul in the evening. But there was also plenty on offer for all FC Bayern fans surrounding the match, which was particularly electrifying due to the direct clash between South Korean internationals Minjae Kim and Heung-Min Son.

Bayern and Spurs say thank you

After the final whistle of the entertaining Coupang Play Series match, both teams went round the stadium to thank the numerous fans in Seoul for their great support and warm welcome. Both teams each carried a banner around the stadium – Bayern's banner was naturally red and read "Thank you for supporting FC Bayern Munich".

Distinguished guests at friendly

Ahead of kick-off, where temperatures were still close to 30 degree and humidity high, the German ambassador in Seoul, Georg Wilfried Schmidt, also wished Bayern luck. Meanwhile, the FCB delegation of CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, his deputy Michael Diederich and vice presidents Professor Dr. Dieter Mayer and Walter Mennekes met the British ambassador to South Korea, Colin Crooks.

Representatives of the Korea Football Association (KFA) did not want to miss out on the football event in their home country, either. During the match at the World Cup Stadium, Dreesen met K League president Kwon Oh-gap for a jersey swap, presenting the South Korean with a brand new FC Bayern away shirt and receiving a jersey in return.

Fan zone for Coupang Play Series

Before the friendly against the Premier League side, the supporters in Seoul were able to enjoy the good weather in the official fan zone outside the World Cup Stadium, where they could get a photo in front of the arena among other things.

Twenty invited customers were in for a treat at MAN. The FC Bayern partner had invited them to a meet & greet with FC Bayern Legend Claudio Pizarro. The participants were able to ask questions and take pictures with the German record champions' former world-class striker. The event was perfectly rounded off by an eye-catching MAN truck, freshly branded as an FC Bayern version for photo opportunities.
