A France team featuring Bayern duo Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise got their first win of the new UEFA Nations League with a 2-0 victory over Belgium in Lyon on Monday evening. Randal Kolo Muani and Ousmane Dembele scored in either half for Didier Deschamps’ side. Having sat out the opening defeat to Italy, Upamecano played the full 90 minutes in this game. Olise played 79 minutes, after making his senior debut last Friday.
Austria beaten in Norway
Konrad Laimer’s Austria are still without a win in the Nations League after a 2-1 defeat to Norway. The hosts went ahead early on in Oslo through Felix Myhre before Marcel Sabitzer brought Ralf Rangnick’s side level before half-time. Erling Haaland then netted the winner with 10 minutes to go. Laimer played the whole game, as he’d done in the 1-1 draw with Slovenia on Friday.
