Back to work! FC Bayern began their preparations for the second half of the season on Thursday. Thirteen days after the last match of 2024 (5-1 home win against RB Leipzig), the Bavarians returned to full training at Säbener Straße, with head coach Vincent Kompany also welcoming back a few returnees from injury.
Captain Manuel Neuer (after rib fracture), Kingsley Coman (after muscle strain), Josip Stanišić (after knee ligament tear) and Serge Gnabry (after knee problems), who missed the Leipzig game due to injury, all completed the session with the team.
Meanwhile, Hiroki Ito (metatarsal fracture) and João Palhinha (muscle strain) worked individually on the training pitch. Sacha Boey (ankle injury) was also absent from team training.
Bayern will hold an open training session in front of fans at Säbener Straße tomorrow, Friday 3 January, at 10:30 CET. For those who can’t be there, we’re showing a free live stream of the session.
