On Wednesday, head coach Vincent Kompany gave the players who'd been participating in the training sessions at Säbener Straße since the start of the week a day off. Instead, the internationals who most recently played for their national teams on Sunday were put through their paces on Wednesday. João Palhinha, Michael Olise, Josip Stanišić and Konrad Laimer took part in the session at Säbener Straße alongside Germany internationals Joshua Kimmich and Co.
The remaining internationals who were still involved with their national teams on Monday or Tuesday are due to return on Thursday, when there will be a session for the whole squad. The men from Munich are back in Bundesliga action on Saturday (15.30 CET) when they take on promoted side FC St. Pauli at the Allianz Arena.
