Bayern have enjoyed good results against RB Leipzig in recent years, so will they get another on Saturday to wrap up the 2024/25 Bundesliga title? The Bavarians have lost only one of 10 competitive visits to Leipzig (2-1 in March 2018), winning four times and drawing five. The record champions are in fact unbeaten in their last seven away at Die Roten Bullen (W3, D4). Another win will see Vincent Kompany’s team crowned champions, while a draw would all but get them over the line. Here’s our pre-match stats and facts as to why Bayern will get the job done in Leipzig.

Happy travellers
It isn’t just in Leipzig where Bayern have enjoyed their recent visits. The Reds are unbeaten in their last seven Bundesliga away games (W5, D2), which is the team’s best run for five years when they went 10 in a row without a loss in 2019/20. Kompany’s side top the Bundesliga’s away table with 34 points.
A campaign deserving of champions
Bayern’s haul of 75 points after 31 games has already exceeded their total from the whole of last season (72). They have lost only twice in the league this term, which is the fewest since 2016/17 under Carlo Ancelotti. The Bavarians have topped the Bundesliga table since Matchday 3 and fully intend on staying there through to the end. That would make it the club’s best campaign since 2012/13, when Jupp Heynckes’ side led from start to finish across the 34 matchdays.

Shutouts
Last week’s 3-0 win over Mainz was Bayern’s 14th clean sheet of this Bundesliga campaign, which is the most of any team in 2024/25. Second in that regard are opponents Leipzig with 13. However, they were beaten 4-0 in Frankfurt last week to equal their heaviest defeat in the top flight, alongside their 5-1 loss in Munich in December. Die Roten Bullen have also faced 90 big chances in the league this season, with only bottom two Bochum (117) and Holstein Kiel (92) allowing opponents more. Bayern themselves have created 154 clear-cut opportunities, which is the most in the division by some margin.
Olise in top form
Michael Olise has certainly played his part in potentially winning the first league title of his senior career. The forward has been directly involved in 11 goals since the mid-point of the season, which is the most in the Bundesliga alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy. Olise outright leads the 2024/25 assist chart with 12 provisions.
