Annual General Meeting marking 125 years of FC Bayern

The FC Bayern Annual General Meeting on 2 November at BMW Park (entry from 9:00 CET; start at 10:30) will be held under the motto “125 years of FC Bayern: Born of dreams. Shaped by legends. Ready for the future.” to mark the club's anniversary year. The executive committee led by president Herbert Hainer and the two vice-presidents, Professor Dr Dieter Mayer and Walter Mennekes, will stand for re-election. The agenda also includes reports from the club management, including the board of directors, by CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.

In honour of this special anniversary, the club has designed a unique exhibition where members can relive FC Bayern's 125-year success story in men's and women's football and basketball step by step. Visitors will have exclusive photo opportunities with exhibits from the FC Bayern Museum, from Sepp Maier's snuff machine to young general manager Uli Hoeneß's telephone and Thomas Müller's wooden figure commemorating his record-breaking game – plus the famous cockatoo, which the current team always has with them at celebrations. The exhibition also takes visitors behind the scenes of FC Bayern Basketball and offers insights into the dressing room of Germany’s basketball champions.

As in previous years, there will be a diverse pre-event programme. As a special extra, artist Martin Fengel will be designing beer mats with drawings and an FC Bayern stamp as a reminder of old times and a personal souvenir to take home. In addition, FC Bayern departments such as chess, handball and table tennis will once again be offering various opportunities to get involved around BMW Park, and the Red Against Racism initiative will also be represented with an action stand. Furthermore, the FC Bayern Museum's pub newspaper, created especially for the anniversary, will be available as a supplement to the November issue of members’ magazine ‘51’. Special 125 Years of FC Bayern anniversary mugs from the Red Bulls Taubenbach fan club will be available in exchange for donations.

Representatives of the new volunteer programme PACK MA'S, with which the club aims to involve its members even more actively, are participating in the organisation of the AGM for the first time this year. Allianz Arena stadium announcer Stephan Lehmann will once again be the moderator. From 9:30, the in-house film production Café Gisela about the club's history will be shown on the screen on the stage, before the Heufelder group provide musical entertainment from 10:00. Two sign language interpreters will translate the event for people with hearing impairments, and at 10:00, the Red Deaf fan club will explain the signs that the players use in football and basketball when reading out the team line-up on the screens at the venues.

On the day before the AGM, FC Bayern will host an exclusive Weißwurst breakfast for members to provide an opportunity for discussion and suggestions in the run-up to the event, as in previous years. In addition to the entire executive committee, board member for sport Max Eberl and managers and employees from all levels of the club will be in attendance. Two hundred members were selected at random from over 1,000 registrations.
