Bayern thrill fans during training session

Even snow and ice couldn't deter the record champions' fans on Thursday from experiencing their Bayern team in action up close. At the first open training session of the year, numerous fans once again lined the pitch at Säbener Straße and watched live as Vincent Kompany's side geared up for their first competitive match of 2026 against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday (17:30 CET).

The Munich men once again practised various match simulation drills during the 75-minute session, before Harry Kane and his teammates took time out to sign autographs and, of course, fulfil the fans' requests for selfies.

Musiala and Neuer back – Kimmich continues individual training

While Nicolas Jackson, who is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations, Alphonso Davies and Sacha Boey, who are ill, and Joshua Kimmich, who is still only training individually, were absent from the session, the head coach was also able to welcome back a few players. Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala were not involved in Tuesday's only friendly of the winter break against FC Red Bull Salzburg (5-0) but were able to return to training two days later.
