In the last league match against TSG Hoffenheim, the team led by head coach Alexander Straus secured an important 1-0 home win. The FCB Women scored on 22 minutes with a strike from a free kick by Klara Bühl to maintain pressure on league leaders VfL Wolfsburg. FC Bayern are currently one point off top spot.
The opening match of the season in Freiburg saw FCB go behind but that was turned round with goals scored by Lea Schüller (21’) and Katharina Naschenweng (90’). However, the SC Freiburg Women levelled in added time for the final score of 2-2.

We couldn't be happy with the result after conceding a goal late on in the 97th minute. This season we should have had better results and more points. It's down to us on Monday."
