Bayern booked their place in the DFB Cup semi-finals on Tuesday thanks to a 3-0 win away at Carl Zeiss Jena. Pernille Harder opened the scoring before Jovana Damnjanovic bagged a brace ahead of half-time. Die Frauen’s opponent for a place in the final is, by chance, again Eintracht in March at the FC Bayern Campus.
In the Bundesliga, Alexander Straus’s team last beat Essen 2-0 thanks to goals from Glodis Viggosdottir and Damnjanovic. It kept the defending champions top of the standings with 36 points and extended the team ’s unbeaten run in the league to 31 matches.

Frankfurt are third in the table with 26 points on the board. Niko Arnautis ’s team have suffered back-to-back defeats to Wolfsburg (3-0) and Freiburg (2-1). However, they claimed a 4-1 win at home to Duisburg in the cup during the week to set up that semi-final clash with Bayern.

Straus remains without Carolin Simon (cruciate ligament), Weronika Zawistowska (cruciate ligament), Cecilia Ran Runarsdottir (kneecap), Ana Maria Guzman (knee), Tainara (illness) and Magdalena Eriksson (metatarsal). Franziska Kett is also unavailable due to a muscular problem.
