The situation for FC Bayern
After wrapping up the championship ahead of schedule against Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 31, Bayern most recently picked up just one point from two games, a 3-1 loss to Mainz and a 2-2 draw with Stuttgart. At Wolfsburg, the Reds are now aiming to register their 25th win of the season and round off the campaign on a high. Head coach Nagelsmann summed it up in his press conference ahead of the game at Wolfsburg: "We're better than last season in all the stats, except for converting chances. We've scored more goals, conceded fewer, we've become a bit more variable. But we have to consolidate everything."
Kimmich on the verge of a milestone, Lewandowski on the verge of being crowned top scorer again - here are the most important facts and figures on the match at Wolfsburg:
The opponents: VfL Wolfsburg
After Wolfsburg slipped into the relegation zone during the course of the season, the team from Lower Saxony managed regain their form - recently, the thirteenth-placed side in the table have shown the kind of form that led the Wolves into the Champions League last year: Florian Kohfeldt's team have picked up seven points from their last three games, second only to Bayer 04 Leverkusen (with nine) in the same period. Wolfsburg are now aiming to take this positive run into the new season: "I'd like us to go home at the end of the afternoon with the good feeling that next season will be a different one and say farewell to the spectators in a dignified manner," said VfL coach Kohfeldt, describing his objective.

Team news for Wolfsburg vs. FC Bayern
In addition to Kingsley Coman, who has been suspended for three games due to being red-carded against Stuttgart, Bayern will probably also be without Marc Roca and Corentin Tolisso in Wolfsburg. Coach Nagelsmann said: "Marc has a flu-like infection, Coco had something similar and also gastrointestinal problems yesterday. They both probably won't travel with us because they haven't trained all week." Josip Stanišić, according to Nagelsmann, "will start as it stands."
The Wolves will be without Felix Nmecha in the last game of the season. The striker will have to undergo treatment on his knee. According to Kohfeldt, Jérôme Roussillon, Koen Casteels and Sebastiaan Bornauw, who have been out recently, are ready to play again.
What the coaches say
„"We played lots of thrilling and good games, and we also implemented lots of things well from a tactical point of view. What I didn't like so much was the lack of consistency in the Rückrunde."”
Julian Nagelsmann
Julian Nagelsmann: "I liked long stretches of the Hinrunde. We played lots of thrilling and good games, and we also implemented lots of things well from a tactical point of view. What I didn't like so much was the lack of consistency in the Rückrunde. In the decisive phase of the season, things were no longer flowing so well. Some of our players were out, which cost us in terms of variability and development. Nevertheless, the way we became champions was very impressive."
Florian Kohfeldt (VfL Wolfsburg): "Bayern are still incredibly dominant in their attacking play. That's why we have to find the mixture of being extremely bold in possession and having the willingness to accept certain phases and spaces when Bayern are in possession - then there will certainly be opportunities to score against them. We want to do that with the absolute certainty that the team who are still the best in Germany also want to finish the season well. That's why it'll be difficult, we know that."
