The first international break in the new season is coming up. A majority of the players at the German record champions have been selected for their national teams. fcbayern.com brings you an overview of who has been called up and where they are playing.
Germany: Kimmich, Musiala, Gnabry, Sané, Müller
Germany have two friendlies in September in preparation for the forthcoming European Championships at home next year. Germany coach Hansi Flick originally selected four FC Bayern players in Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané, with Thomas Müller then receiving a late call-up. The four-time World Cup winners first play Japan in Wolfsburg on 9 September (20:45 CEST). Germany then have a friendly against World Cup runners-up France in Dortmund three days later (12 September) with the kick-off at 21:00 CEST.
France: Coman, Upamecano
Dayot Upamecano and Kingsley Coman are in the France squad in September initially in the hunt for important points on the way to EURO 2024 in Germany. The team under coach Didier Deschamps first play Ireland at the Parc des Princes in Paris on 7 September (20:45 CEST). The Équipe Tricolore then have a friendly against Germany in Dortmund on 12 September (21:00 CEST).
England: Kane
FCB new signing Harry Kane will lead out the England team on matchday five in a EURO 2024 qualifier away to Ukraine (9 September, 18:00 CEST in Warsaw). The striker is then set to play a friendly for the Three Lions against Scotland (20:45 CEST) at Hampden Park in Glasgow three days later on 12 September.
Netherlands: de Ligt
The Netherlands, with Bayern defender Matthijs de Ligt, are also involved in qualifiers for next summer's European Championships. After a win and a defeat in the first two qualifiers, the Elftal are looking to clock up crucial points against Greece (7 September, 20:45 CEST, in Eindhoven) as well as against Ireland (10 September, 20:45 CEST, in Dublin).
South Korea: Kim
Minjae Kim has two friendlies with the South Korea national team. The FC Bayern new signing with South Korea first faces Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium (20:45 CEST, in Cardiff). Five days later on 12 September, the team that reached the Round of 16 in the 2022 World Cup play Saudi Arabia at St James's Park in Newcastle (18:30 CEST).
Morocco: Mazraoui
Morocco play their final qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations 2023 on 9 September. Noussair Mazraoui and Co. face Liberia (21:00 CEST) at the Stade Adrar in Agadir. The team that finished fourth in the 2022 World Cup then have a friendly against Burkina Faso (20:30 CEST) in Lens in France on 12 September.
Austria: Laimer
Summer signing Konrad Laimer is in the Austria squad for a friendly against Moldova (7 September, 20:30 CEST, in Linz) and the EURO qualifier in Sweden (12 September, 20:45 CEST, in Solna). Austria are top of Group F with ten points from four games and and they are one point ahead of Belgium.
Cameroon: Choupo-Moting
Cameroon, with FC Bayern striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, go into the final matchday in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Bayern player and his team play Burundi on 12 September. The kick-off at the Stade Roumdé Adjia in Garoua is at 21:00 CEST.
Israel: Daniel Peretz
Keeper Daniel Peretz has been called up by Israel for the forthcoming internationals. The team under head coach Alon Hazan are first away on 9 September in Romania (20:45 CEST, in Bucharest). Israel entertain Belarus in Tel Aviv on 12 September (20:45 CEST).
France U19s: Mathys Tel
Mathys Tel is set to play for the France U19s. The Équipe Tricolore youth team have three matches in the Stevan Cele Vilotic Tournament tournament in Senta in Serbia. Tel and Co. first play Montenegro on 7 September. France meet Hungary two days later (9 September) before the final game against Serbia on 12 September.
Germany U19s: Buchmann
Tarek Buchmann has been called up to the Germany U19 squad for two international fixtures in Oliva Nova in Spain. Germany play England on 6 September (18:00 CEST) and then the team face Switzerland on 12 September (11:00 CEST).
