It was a thoroughly convincing and impressive display that FC Bayern produced against SC Freiburg in the early evening of Sunday. The Munich men enjoyed themselves at the Allianz Arena while barely giving their opponents a sniff, claiming a deserved 3-0 victory in the end. Find out which goalscoring runs Thomas Tuchel's side extended and which records Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané and Harry Kane cracked in the facts on the match.
Bavarian goal machines
The victory over Freiburg saw the German record champions extend two incredible runs. FCB have now scored at least one goal in each of their last 61 Bundesliga matches at home – the third-longest streak in Bundesliga history. Only Bayern themselves have gone better with 64 games between 1970 and 1974 and 62 games from 1979 to 1982. What's more, they've now netted in 34 consecutive league matches overall.
Winner Müller draws level with Neuer
Virtually no one knows how to get three points in the German top flight better than Thomas Müller. The original Bavarian picked up his 322nd win in his 448th Bundesliga appearance against Freiburg, drawing level with teammate Manuel Neuer (322 wins in 478 appearances). No player has registered more wins than the Bayern duo.
Sané sets personal best
Leroy Sané continued his dazzling form against the Black Forest side and was instrumental in the comfortable home win, not least with his goal to make it 2-0. It was the 27-year-old's sixth goal in the Bundesliga already this season – he's never scored that many times in the first half of a campaign. Sané has also now found the net in three consecutive league games, something he only previously achieved in September 2015 for FC Schalke 04 and in September/October 2022 for Bayern.
Kane setting standards
Harry Kane may not have got on the scoresheet himself against Freiburg, but the English striker still played a big part in Bayern's success once again. The 30-year-old linked up nicely with Sané for the second goal in the 25th minute and set him up with a measured square ball. It was already Kane's 12th goal involvement. No other player has done that in his first seven Bundesliga appearances since detailed data collection began in 2004.
Coman gets off the mark with brace
Kingsley Coman notched his first two goals of the campaign against Freiburg, meaning he's now scored in all nine of his seasons with the German record champions. It was the Frenchman's fifth brace in his 188th Bundesliga appearance – the last came in February 2023 against Wolfsburg.
Strong centre-back duo and passing machine Minjae Kim
Together with Dayot Upamecano, Minjae Kim ensured that Freiburg didn't get a single threatening goalscoring opportunity in the game "Minjae was very good, along with Upa. We didn't have any little mistakes in build-up play and we were resolute in our tackling. The two centre-backs did very well, we're very pleased," praised Tuchel afterwards. The South Korean was also a focal point of Bayern's play. In total he played an unbelievable 171 passes, the most for a Bundesliga player in one match since Aleksandar Dragović for Bayer 04 Leverkusen against Fortuna Düsseldorf in February 2019 (178).
