After taking home the awards for October and November, Harry Kane has now completed a hat-trick of FC Bayern Goal of the Month awards after fans named him the winner of the December vote too for his unstoppable curling effort into the top corner from the edge of the box to make it 2-0 in the 2-1 victory against Wolfsburg.
Over half of votes for Kane
Kane was the clear winner with 52.2 percent of votes from fans, beating out Giulia Gwinn (27 percent) and her free-kick against Bayer Leverkusen, as well as Joshua Kimmich’s consolation effort in the loss to Eintracht Frankfurt (14 percent).
Kane chasing records
Kane’s now award-winning goal against the Wolves crowned an incredible first half of his maiden campaign in Munich. It was his 21st in only 15 Bundesliga appearances, setting a new record in the German top flight. And it was by no means the 30-year-old Englishman’s last goal in Bayern colours. Kane was again on the scoresheet as the champions kicked off 2024 with a 3-0 victory over Hoffenheim.
Kane’s Hoffenheim strike equalled Robert Lewandowski’s record for most goals in the first half of a Bundesliga season:
