It was important to just calm things down a bit. The second made it a little easier for us. Nevertheless, we had to step on the gas again in the second half. We made a few changes and then we also had a great goalkeeper who kept a clean sheet. We have confidence in ourselves and know what we are capable of. We need to take this with us into the new year.”

Frank Schmidt (head coach): “Looking back at the first half, we didn’t look good when we conceded. We got in each other’s way. We then changed things around, occupied the spaces differently and attacked earlier. We have to score, then it'd be 2-1, and then I know what my team is capable of. We're coming out of this game with a positive feeling. We need stability and consistency. The way we played in the second half gives us chances to pick up points. I believe in my team. We need to be more consistent. To be honest, today is not a benchmark and not an opponent we can use as a guide. But we have to take the individual moments with us.”

Stefan Schimmer (forward): “Of course, we tried everything again in the second half and created some good chances, but ultimately we need to score the equaliser at the first opportunity. I could’ve done more with my chance. Arijon Ibrahimović also had a huge chance. Had that gone in, it might have been a different game here at home.”
