FC Bayern Women claimed an excellent 5-0 win away at Köln on Saturday afternoon. Linda Dallmann opened the scoring inside 18 minutes at the Franz-Kremer-Stadion. An own goal and further strikes from Lea Schüller (45’+3), Georgia Stanway (52’) and Jovana Damnjanovic (64’) wrapped up a comprehensive result that extends Bayern’s unbeaten run in the Bundesliga to 30 games and keeps them top of the Google Pixel Bundesliga with 33 points after 13 matchdays. Second-placed Wolfsburg (29 points) face third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt (26) on Sunday.

One change
Head coach Alexander Straus made just one change to the team that started Monday’s 4-0 win at home to Freiburg, bringing in Dallmann for Sydney Lohmann in attacking midfield. Damnjanovic made her 125th Bundesliga appearance for the Munich ladies, who were still without Carolin Simon (cruciate ligament), Weronika Zawistowska (cruciate ligament), Cecilia Ran Runarsdottir (kneecap), Magdalena Eriksson (metatarsal), Ana Maria Guzman (knee) and Tainara (illness).
Three first-half goals
Bayern enjoyed plenty of possession and created pressure from the start. It resulted in an early goal as Klara Bühl’s corner landed at the feet of Pernille Harder. She fired on goal, with Dallmann turning it in to open the scoring. The second goal also came from a Bühl set piece as centre-back Linda Sembrant headed her free-kick on target. Köln goalkeeper Paula Hoppe then punched the ball onto the chest of her own defender Janina Hechler and in. The hosts managed two shots before the break, but the next attempt came from Bayern and brought a third goal in added time as Schüller volleyed home a cross from Stanway.

Two more after the break
Straus’s team were just as impressive after the restart. Stanway quickly added to her assist with a goal of her own seven minutes into the half with a deflected shot from 20 yards that flew into the top right corner. Damnjanovic made it 5-0 and rounded off a good day in Cologne just after the hour mark when she put away Tuva Hansen’s cross.
Cup then Bundesliga
Bayern’s next game is their rearranged DFB Cup round of 16 tie away at Kickers Offenbach on Wednesday (19:00 CET). That is followed by Matchday 14 in the Bundesliga at home to SGS Essen on Saturday, 18 February (16:00).
