'Congratulations on another double!' - Hainer, Dreesen & Eberl praise FCB Women for DFB Cup win
FC Bayern Women are 2025/26 DFB Cup winners! Victory in the final against VfL Wolfsburg on Thursday clinched the third cup success in the club’s history and the second double in a row. Club president Herbert Hainer, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and board member for sport Max Eberl offered their messages of congratulations to head coach José Barcala’s team on this outstanding achievement.

Herbert Hainer (FC Bayern president): "Congratulations on another double – FC Bayern Women are making history almost every week at the moment. The cup win rounds off an absolutely outstanding season, in which, in addition to historic sporting successes, attendance records were set and the Champions League final was within reach. Congratulations to Bianca Rech, coach José Barcala, captain Glódís Viggósdóttir and the team, and everyone who contributes to this ongoing success story."

Jan-Christian Dreesen (FC Bayern CEO): “Unbeaten in the Bundesliga, and now back-to-back doubles for the first time in the club’s history – we are delighted with our FC Bayern Women’s impressive journey. Our new coach José Barcala has seamlessly carried on the successful work of his predecessor. The overall development under the management of Bianca Rech pleases us all and will reach new dimensions in the long term with the expansion of Sportpark Unterhaching. We are set for the future.”

Max Eberl (FC Bayern board member for sport): “There’s only one thing harder in sport than winning titles – and that’s defending them. The fact that FC Bayern Women have claimed the double again cements their position as a top team. Great credit to Bianca Rech and her team, to our coach José Barcala for his impressive debut season, and to all the players. The trophy collection is growing – and we’re sure that this team will remain hungry for more.”
