Which Bayern players have been called up for their national teams?

The first international break of the year is upon us, and for many teams it's the acid test before Euro 2024 in Germanyfcbayern.com provides an overview of which players from the German record champions have been called up.

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has included a three-man Bayern contingent in his squad for the upcoming friendlies against France on 23 March (21:00) in Lyon and against Netherlands on 26 March (20:45) in Frankfurt: Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller and Jamal Musiala have been selected, with Leroy Sané suspended for both games following his red card in the 2-0 defeat against Austria. Aleksandar Pavlović was also called up for the first time but the 19-year-old midfielder has had to withdraw from the squad because of tonsilitis. Manuel Neuer had also received a call-up but will miss both games after tearing a muscle fibre in his left adductor during training with his Germany teammates.

France: Upamecano

Dayot Upamecano and Co. take on Germany in a friendly just a few months before EURO 2024.

Dayot Upamecano has been selected for France's friendlies against Germany and Chile (26 March at 21:00 in Marseille). The French qualified for the European Championship as group winners with 22 points. The Bayern centre-back last started for Les Bleus in the 14-0 drubbing of Gibraltar in November.

England: Kane

Captain Harry Kane will lead England in friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

The English national team, with captain Harry Kane, also play two friendlies ahead of the summer's Euros . The Three Lions host record World Cup winners Brazil (23 March at 20:00) and Belgium (26 March at 20:45) at London's Wembley Stadium.

Netherlands: de Ligt

Matthijs de Ligt will come up against a number of Bayern teammates in Netherlands' friendly against Germany.

Matthijs de Ligt is in the Dutch squad for their upcoming friendlies as Ronald Koeman's team gear up for the Euro finals. On Friday 22 March they welcome Scotland to Amsterdam, before taking on Germany in Frankfurt four days later.

Austria: Laimer

Konrad Laimer has been a regular starter in Austria's recent internationals.

Konrad Laimer is in the Austrian squad for their two friendlies against Slovakia (23 March at 18:00 in Bratislava) and Turkey (26 March at 20:45 in Vienna).

Israel: Daniel Peretz

Daniel Peretz was in action for Israel U21 at the European Championship last summer.

Goalkeeper Daniel Peretz has been included in the Israeli squad for their upcoming playoff semi-final. The Israelis take on Iceland on 21 March at 20:45 as they bid to clinch one of the three remaining Euro spots. Due to the conflict in the Middle East, the match is being staged in Budapest, Hungary for security reasons.

South Korea: Minjae Kim

South Korea and Bayern defender Minjae Kim are yet to drop points or concede in World Cup qualifying.

South Korea are hoping to take the next step towards World Cup qualification and follow on from the wins over Singapore (5-0) and China (3-0). Bayern defender Minjae Kim has again been selected for the two matches against Thailand on 21 March (12:00 in Seoul) and on 26 March (13:30 in Bangkok). 

Canada: Davies

Alphonso Davies and the Canadian team have the CONCACAF Nations League firmly in their sights.

Canada, meanwhile, face Trinidad & Tobago in the playoffs for the CONCACAF Nations League on 23 March. The game will kick off at 21:00 in Frisco, Texas, with Bayern left-back Alphonso Davies included in the 23-man squad.

France U19: Tel

Mathys Tel is France's U19 squad for their three upcoming games. The team play Belgium (20 March at 19:00), Netherlands (23 March at 16:00) and Lithuania (26 March at 19:00) in European Championship qualifying, with all three matches taking place in Assen, Netherlands as part of the Elite Tour.
