UPDATE: The match has been postponed due to the state of the pitch in Bremen.
After their 6-0 gala display at Jena on Wednesday evening, FC Bayern Women travel to Bremen for their third away match in a row. The double winners take on Werder Bremen on Monday at 18:00 CET on Matchday 18 of the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga.

Latest news from Bayern
Bayern had the fans on their feet six times on Wednesday. Jovana Damnjanović (19’, 26’) set Munich on their way with a brace in the rearranged fixture, with Momoko Tanikawa (39’) making it three before half-time. Georgia Stanway (51’), Pernille Harder (60’) and Edna Imade (88’) rounded off the half-dozen after the interval.
Bayern on 49 points and a goal difference of +62 have a comfortable lead in the table ahead of the clash with Bremen. José Barcala’s team are enjoying the third-best Bundesliga campaign in history. Only Munich in 2020/21 and Eintracht Frankfurt (2004/05) have taken the maximum 51 points from 17 matches.

Opponents Werder Bremen
Werder are among the surprise teams this season, lying fourth after 17 matchdays after third place during the winter break, the team’s highest position in the top flight in nine years. Friederike Kromp’s team have taken 28 points from 16 matches – Werder finished on 29 points last season, which was already a club record back then.
Werder have failed to build on the momentum of last year so far in 2026, drawing with Nürnberg (1-1) and Hoffenheim (0-0). But their record of eight wins, four draws and four defeats shows Werder have established themselves in the upper half of the table this season.
FC Bayern Women have kept a clean sheet in all of their last twelve league clashes with Bremen, an ongoing Bundesliga record. A look at the other stats speaks in favour of Bayern: Munich have won all of the 17 editions of the fixture so far, scoring 60 goals and conceding only four. Against no other team have Bayern left the pitch as winners as often. FCB Women most recently beat Bremen 4-0 during the Wiesn period.

Team news
Barcala remains without long-term absentees Sarah Zadrazil and Lena Oberdorf (both cruciate ligament). Alara Şehitler is sidelined with a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament. Linda Dallmann (workload management) won’t be part of the squad, while Klara Bühl is available again.

Barcala: ‘Be efficient’
José Barcala: “We expect a demanding game. Bremen are a team with clear solutions to beat the high press, they are aggressive, very direct in attack and their structure makes them difficult to press consistently.
For us the focus is on imposing our rhythm, our game, controlling the spaces and playing with precision and coordination in the decisive moments. We want to show our identity from the first minute: intensity without the ball and patience with the ball. If we do that with the right mentality, we give ourselves the best chance to win.”
Barbara Dunst: “Bremen have shown throughout the season they’re serious opponents who are very well-organised in terms of tactics. They act as a unit and have high individual quality in their squad. Fritzy Kromp has already achieved a lot. But we’ll fully focus on oursevles, we want to make use of our strengths and impose our play. We showed how dominant we can be in possession in recent matches. That’s in line with our philosophy, and we want to stick to it against Bremen too.”
