What a wonderful goal to end the season with! In the last match of the Women's Bundesliga against Turbine Potsdam, Linda Dallmann of the FC Bayern Women's team produced a real show-stopper. In the 33rd minute, the midfielder received a pass with her left foot and smashed the ball into the corner with a right-footed half-volley. It put Bayern 3-0 up, and they went on to win 5-0 in the end. Now the FC Bayern fans have voted Dallmann's stunning strike as their Goal of the Month for May.
Clear win for Dallmann
With 40 per cent of the votes, Dallmann was the clear winner in the fan poll. Thomas Müller's goal (20%) against VfB Stuttgart (2-2) followed in second place, while Josip Stanišić (16%) secured third place with his deft header against VfL Wolfsburg (2-2). Dallmann is already the third FCB women's player to be honoured by the fans for Goal of the Month this year, after Lina Magull (February) and Viviane Asseyi (March).
