Before going into the international break, FC Bayern are aiming for the next win against SC Freiburg on Sunday (live text and free Web Radio commentary from 17:30 CEST on fcbayern.com and in the FC Bayern app). Our preview contains the key info on the Bundesliga clash.
Here are the images from Saturday's final training session:
The state of play for Bayern
"We can still feel it," said head coach Thomas Tuchel in his press conference on Friday when asked about the strains of this week's Champions League travels. Since the last international break, his team have played a gruelling six games in the space of 19 days, with an impressive outcome of four wins and two draws. The two most recent outings, the 2-2 draw at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga and the 2-1 victory over FC Copenhagen in Europe, were particularly energy-sapping as Bayern had to come from behind both times. Therefore, ahead of the meeting with Freiburg, it's about summoning strength again as the Reds need the win to keep up in the race at the top of the table. "We're determined to win the last game before the international break," demanded Tuchel. "But we're aware of the difficulty of the task. We'll prepare and want to be on it on Sunday."

The opponents: Freiburg
Like Bayern, Freiburg were also in European action in midweek. Despite an improved performance in the second half, the Black Forest side went down 2-1 at home to West Ham United in the Europa League, ending a run of three competitive games without defeat (W2 D1). But even if their primary goal for the season is still survival, Freiburg, who are playing in Europe for successive years for the first time in the club's history, can currently look more up than down in the table. "We're travelling to Munich with our heads held high, we have 10 points and won the last game," said SCF coach Christian Streich, referring to a deserved 2-0 success at home to FC Augsburg on Matchday 6.

The team news for Bayern vs. Freiburg
Manuel Neuer (rehabilitative training after lower leg fracture), Serge Gnabry (forearm fracture) and Matthijs de Ligt (knee injury) are still out for the Bavarians. Otherwise, coach Tuchel confirmed that all the players who travelled to Copenhagen have recovered well.
The visitors must do without their injured captain Christian Günter (forearm fracture) as well as Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (rehabilitative training after cruciate ligament tear). In addition, Nicolas Höfler serves the last of a three-match ban. Michael Gregoritsch and Yannick Keitel are doubtful with muscular problems.
What the coaches say
„We're aware of the difficulty of the task. Freiburg are very flexible, switch their formation very frequently. We'll need to be wide awake in order to be prepared for all eventualities. I'm sure Freiburg will do everything to make life as difficult as possible for us.”
Thomas Tuchel
„Wherever we travel on the road, we go there to win. That hasn't happened too often for us in Munich - only once, to be honest. But that made it all the nicer. We're playing against an outstanding team, so we'll try to do an outstanding job.”
Christian Streich (SC Freiburg coach)
