It's the sporting highlight of the Audi Summer Tour – and a real acid test to boot. As part of the Coupang Play Series, FC Bayern entertain Tottenham Hotspur for a friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 13:00 CEST). You can watch the meeting between the German record champions and the Premier League club in German and English with FC Bayern TV PLUS.
The situation for Bayern
fter the two friendlies against lower-league teams FC Rottach Egern (14-1) and 1. FC Düren (1-1), the clash with Spurs is the first with opponents on a similar level for Vincent Kompany's side. Bayern have been intensively preparing for the new campaign for around three weeks now, at Säbener Straße, at Tegernsee and now in Seoul. "We want to build up a good fitness level," stressed Kompany in Friday's press conference. Speaking about the match against Tottenham, the Belgian added: "I want to see the right mentality, also from the players who haven't been training for as long."

After the Germany internationals such as Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala returned to full training a few days ago and travelled to South Korea, Kompany has a bigger squad at his disposal than in the first two friendlies. New signing João Palhinha is also set to make his debut in a Bayern shirt against the North Londoners. "Most of the players will be involved tomorrow, but we'll spread out the game time," revealed the 38-year-old.
And they'll do so wearing the new away shirt with special printing on the back, inspired by the traditional Korean architectural style "Chuma".
The opponents: Tottenham Hotspur
5-1, 2-0 and 3-2 – Tottenham have emerged victorious from all three of their pre-season friendlies so far against Hearts, Queens Park Rangers and Vissel Kobe. A successful start to pre-season, which is now entering its final phase for Ange Postecoglou's side. Things get serious for Spurs 16 days after the encounter with Bayern with the start of the Premier League, when they travel to Leicester City. The match against the Bavarians is therefore an important yardstick for the team who finished fifth in England's top flight last season, before one final friendly a week later in London – again versus Bayern.
