FC Bayern Audi Summer Tour Singapore

Recap: Monday in Singapore

FC Bayern had a busy schedule in Singapore on Monday. In the morning, coach Thomas Tuchel's team completed their first training session in the island state. Afterwards, players and officials went to various fan and partner events, while a delegation from the German record champions met the German Ambassador in Singapore, Dr Norbert Riedel. fcbayern.com gives you an overview. 

Visit to partner Allianz

Board member for marketing Andreas Jung as well as Jamal Musiala and FCB legend Claudio Pizarro were guests at the headquarters of Allianz SE in Singapore this morning. "It is a great honour for us as FC Bayern to be here in Asia and in Singapore. We have fans all over the world and we are the biggest club there is with over 300,000 members," Jung told the German record champions' shareholder. "It's important to us that we travel to the different countries to get in direct contact with the people there and, together with our partners like Allianz or Audi, enable them to experience our players live." For Musiala, the visit to the island state is a first: "It's my first time in Singapore and I'm very impressed. A highly interesting city."

Other partner & fan events

The visit to Allianz was not the only opportunity of the day for the FCB squad to get in touch with fans and partners in the area. Serge Gnabry, Ryan Gravenberch and Josip Stanišić fulfilled the numerous autograph and selfie requests of Bayern supporters at an event organised by partner adidas and answered questions at a fan Q&A. In addition, Alphonso Davies, Leroy Sané and Yann Sommer (Q&A and autograph session at Audi), Joshua Kimmich (meet & greet with fans from Viessmann), Leon Goretzka (Q&A and autograph session at SAP) and Matthijs de Ligt (digital Q&A with Chinese fans) were on the road as ambassadors of the German record champions.

Diederich and Mayer talk with fans

FC Bayern are again being accompanied by a number of fans from Germany on this year's Audi Summer Tour. On Monday, executive vice chairman Dr. Michael Diederich and vice president Prof. Dr. Dieter Mayer sat down with the travelling supporters in an open discussion forum.

Visit to German Embassy

On the morning of the first full day in Singapore, a Bayern delegation including Diederich, Jung and Mayer paid a visit to the local German Ambassador, Dr. Norbert Riedel. The interplay between politics, society and sport was a particular focus point. More info here:

First training session in Singapore

The Bayern players set foot on the training pitch in Singapore for the first time on Monday morning. Despite muggy conditions and a sweat-inducing session, the squad were in lively spirits. A further session took place in the afternoon.

Media engagements for Jung and Co

In the evening, Jung spoke in a press conference with representatives of the Thai and Indian media. Earlier on in the day, Kingsley Coman gave interviews to the Asian media.

FCB legends guests at adidas

Giovane Élber and Claudio Pizarro paid a visit to the Singapore headquarters of partner adidas on Monday afternoon local time. The FC Bayern legends answered questions from the staff and were on hand for autographs and photos.
