Tah fired up for final qualifiers
© ImagoThe German national team are aiming to cement their place at the top of Group A in World Cup qualifying in Luxembourg on Friday night. Ahead of the match, Bayern centre-back Jonathan Tah was asked about motivation against the minnows: “To be honest, it’s not difficult. It doesn’t matter who we play – as German internationals we always have to do our best on the pitch. That’s our expectation, both individually and as a team. So it’s not difficult.”
Germany are currently level on points with Slovakia (both nine points) in first place. Julian Nagelsmann’s side can then clinch their World Cup ticket in the showdown between the top two next Monday.
