On Tuesday morning, before his teammates' final training session ahead of tomorrow's DFB Cup semi-final at Bayer Leverkusen, Tom Bischof completed a few laps of the running track at Säbener Straße. The midfielder had suffered a small muscle fibre tear in his left calf last week ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid and had been out of action ever since. The 20-year-old has now resumed running training.

FC Bayern have their sights on the cup final in Berlin, and we now know that 44-year-old Felix Zwayer from the capital will take charge of Wednesday's semi-final at Bayer Leverkusen.

Sunday’s 4-2 win at home to VfB Stuttgart secured Bayern the 2025/26 Bundesliga title with four games to spare.

After a well-deserved day off from training in the wake of their efforts against Real Madrid on Wednesday, Vincent Kompany’s team returned to the pitch at Säbener Straße on Friday as they turn their attentions to Sunday’s Bundesliga game against VfB Stuttgart. And it could be the match that brings them the title for 2025/26, if they can better Borussia Dortmund’s Saturday result away at Hoffenheim.

Michael Olise has been voted as the Champions League’s Player of the Week after his winning goal against Real Madrid on Wednesday, beating PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé, Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi and Dani Olmo of Barcelona to the UEFA award.

FC Bayern have been virtually unbeatable this season, recording an impressive 40 wins and four draws in 46 competitive matches so far in 2025/26, with only two games lost. This means the record champions have suffered fewer defeats at this point in the season than at any time since their promotion to the Bundesliga in 1965 - proof of the exceptional consistency and stability of this Bayern side.

Only a few hours to go! The FC Bayern squad completed the customary light training session at Säbener Straße on Wednesday morning ahead of the eagerly anticipated Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid tonight.

While his colleagues prepare for the Champions League clash with Real Madrid (Wednesday, 21:00 CEST), Sven Ulreich continues his recovery work. The 37-year-old goalkeeper completed an individual session with the ball on Tuesday morning. Ulreich sustained a groin tear in the Bundesliga match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in mid-March. 

Good news from the FC Bayern training pitch: Serge Gnabry, who missed the 5-0 away win at St. Pauli due to a slight knee problem, has returned to team training. Two days before the crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid, the Munich men began their preparations for the clash at the Allianz Arena on Monday. Gnabry set up Luis Díaz's 1-0 opener in the 2-1 first-leg win in Madrid.

FC Bayern extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to 12 points with the 5-0 win at St Pauli! Now it's onto the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid on Wednesday (21:00 CEST). Next up in the Bundesliga are Stuttgart on Sunday (17:30 CEST).

Slovenian official Slavko Vinčić will take charge of the quarter-final second leg between FC Bayern and Real Madrid on Wednesday. David Santos Daiber has completed his first light exercises with the ball since suffering an injury to his thigh muscle in mid-March. It meant the Portugal U19 international, who made his senior debut for FC Bayern this season, was able to celebrate taking an important step back onto the pitch at Säbener Straße.

Sven Ulreich returned to the training ground after suffering a muscle tear in his right adductor in the Bundesliga match at Leverkusen in mid-March. The FC Bayern keeper is working towards his comeback and completed his first runs at Säbener Straße today.

English official Michael Oliver has been appointed for the first leg of FC Bayern's Champions League quarter-final at Real Madrid. A light jogging session for Dayot Upamecano at Säbener: The FC Bayern defender completed a relaxed individual running session on Wednesday, on what was actually a training-free day, after returning from international duty. Upamecano was shown a straight red card after 52 minutes of France's 2-1 friendly win over Brazil so didn't feature in Sunday's clash with Colombia. More internationals are expected to return to training at the club's training ground tomorrow. Next up for FC Bayern is the Bundesliga match at SC Freiburg on Saturday.

FC Bayern completed an open training session on Tuesday morning. As it's the Easter holidays, scores of the record champions' fans took the opportunity to watch their idols being put through their paces. At the end of the first preparation session ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga game at SC Freiburg, the FCB players naturally also took time to hand out autographs and pose for selfies with their fans. Manuel Neuer and Raphaël Guerreiro trained alongside some of the youth players, while Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala and Aleksandar Pavlović also completed parts of the team session. The players away on international duty will return to training in the coming days.

Good news from Säbener Straße: Keeper Jonas Urbig returned to individual training on the pitch today after coming back early from international duty. Manuel Neuer and Raphaël Guerreiro took part in squad training, whilst Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Aleksandar Pavlović also completed parts of the team practice. Some youth players and reserves joined the session, as the majority of the first-team players are still away on international duty.

Three FC Bayern players were in action for their national teams on Saturday. While Nicolas Jackson's goal helped Senegal to a 2-0 win over Peru and Hiroki Ito featured in Japan's 1-0 win over Scotland, Minjae Kim and the South Korean national team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Côte d'Ivoire. Konrad Laimer was officially crowned Austria's Footballer of the Year in Vienna on Friday evening. Before the match between the Austrian national team and Ghana (5-1) kicked off, the FC Bayern midfielder was presented with the trophy by the Austria Press Agency (APA) on the pitch.

The vote for Footballer of the Year, one of the most prestigious honours in Austrian football, had already taken place in December. Laimer came out on top in the poll of the 12 coaches in the Austrian Bundesliga. Following in the footsteps of David Alaba, Laimer is only the second FC Bayern player to have received this award.

While many of his teammates are currently away on international duty with their national teams, Aleksandar Pavlović is continuing to work on his comeback at Säbener Straße. The 21-year-old FC Bayern midfielder, who didn't join up with national team coach Julian Nagelsmann's squad due to hip problems, completed an individual session with the ball on Saturday morning.

Lennart Karl could make his senior debut for Germany in the upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana. And if he does, he’ll wear the number 25 on his back, which was also worn by former and current teammates Thomas Müller and Aleksandar Pavlović when they made their Germany debuts. Jonas Urbig, who’s also been called up to the senior squad for the first time, has been given the number 21 shirt.

No one has been assigned the symbol number 10 jersey, which Jamal Musiala recently took on for the German side. The Bayern attacker has sat out the current international break because of a painful reaction in the ankle that he injured last summer.

For the German national team and captain Joshua Kimmich, the first training session ahead of the two friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana took place on Tuesday. “The aim is to get two positive results,” said Kimmich at a press conference. Looking ahead to the World Cup this summer, the Bayern star continued: “In the end it’s not about having the best squad in the world, but having the best team in the world. And we’re working on that, everyone has to follow. Everyone has to be aware that they have to give everything for the team, and then you don’t need the best squad in the world to win matches.”

Bayern fans have the chance to watch the team train in person next Tuesday, 31 March, as the squad hold an open training at Säbener Straße from 10:30 CEST. Vincent Kompany’s men will be preparing for the season’s final run-in across the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League. Most of Bayern’s players are away from Munich with their national teams over the coming days, but Manuel Neuer and Alphonso Davies were at Säbener Straße on Monday morning for individual training sessions after their respective muscular and hamstring injuries. Saturday’s win over Union Berlin saw Bayern stretch their Bundesliga goals tally from 93 to 97 goals. Never before had a team scored more than 81 goals after 27 matchdays (Bayern themselves in 2021/22). Should Bayern get the job done tonight against Atalanta, they already know they will face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, after they beat Manchester City 2-1 on Tuesday and 5-1 on aggregate to advance through the round of 16.

FC Bayern rounded off preparations for the clash against Atalanta with an intensive training session on Tuesday afternoon. The Bavarians host the North Italians in the second leg of the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday night (21:00 CET). The situation could hardly be better after the 6-1 thrashing in Bergamo, but FCB are nevertheless approaching the task with focus.

Having already participated in parts of his first training session with the squad on Thursday, Hiroki Ito was also involved in most of Friday’s final session before the team left for Leverkusen. The defender tore a thigh muscle at the end of February and has been sidelined ever since. However, the Japan international is still not an option for Saturday’s match at the BayArena.

On Friday, Bayern had their final training session before travelling to Bayer 04 Leverkusen for what will be a tough away game in the Bundesliga. After the Werkself 's 1-1 draw against Premier League leaders Arsenal during the week, the Munich men have great respect for the upcoming task. "The result against Arsenal shows that it'll be a tough game. They were difficult to break down," explained Vincent Kompany in the pre-match press conference. After a training-free day on Wednesday, when the Bayern players had a bit of time to truly enjoy the 6-1 first-leg success at Atalanta, it was back to work for Vincent Kompany’s team on Thursday. With just two days before the Bundesliga match at Bayer 04 Leverkusen, the Munich men pressed ahead with preparations for a tricky away assignment.

The ball really is FC Bayern’s best friend. According to analysis by the Swiss research institute Centre International d‘Étude du Sport (CIES) and data provider Impect, the German record champions are the “ball-friendliest” team in the world. Among 915 clubs from 58 leagues, Bayern were the only team to achieve the highest score of 100 points, putting them ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen. The ranking was calculated according to proximity of passes, passing pace, the duration of possession and the percentage of successful passes in the final third. The result further underlines Bayern’s dominant, controlling style of play – and the team’s close ‘friendship’ with the ball. 

Alphonso Davies, Jonas Urbig and Jamal Musiala all had to go off in Bayern’s 6-1 win at Atalanta in the Champions League round of 16 first leg and are set for a spell on the sidelines. Davies suffered a muscle strain in his right hamstring, while goalkeeper Urbig has been diagnosed with concussion. Musiala suffered a reaction to the pain from his ankle injury from last summer. That takes him 37 goal contributions in all competitions this season (15 goals, 22 assists), the most among wingers in Europe’s top five leagues.

Manuel Neuer suffered a minor muscle strain in his left calf during the4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach, as confirmed following a thorough examination by the club’s medical department. The club captain and goalkeeper has therefore been ruled out of action.

While his teammates trained, Alphonso Davies continued his individual work. The Canadian defender suffered a hamstring strain in the Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt a week and a half ago and has been working his way back to fitness since then.

After the crucial win in the Bundesliga top-of-the-table clash at Borussia Dortmund, Bayern had earned two days off. But there’s no more time to rest for Vincent Kompany’s men as they head into the business end of the season. FIFA referee Sven Jablonski will take charge of Saturday’s Klassiker between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern. The Bremen native has impressed recently with assured performances in the Champions League. He also refereed last season’s encounter in Dortmund (1-1) with a clear line and has been involved with both teams this season.

Undeterred by the persistent rain in Munich, Bayern continued their preparations on Tuesday morning for this weekend's top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, 18.30 CET). Beforehand, Manuel Neuer had completed an individual session on one of the adjacent pitches at Säbener Straße, as he had done the day before. The captain, who has been out since suffering a fibre tear in his left calf in the mid-month Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen, was put through his paces with some goalkeeper-specific exercises under the guidance of goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner.

Thanks to the 3-2 win against Frankfurt on Saturday and Dortmund's 2-2 draw at Leipzig shortly afterwards, Bayern have extended their lead over their closest rivals to eight points ahead of the head-to-head this Saturday. But that's no reason to rest on your laurels - and so the Munich side started the training week on Monday full of energy ahead of the next matchday's standout fixture. Manuel Neuer, who tore a muscle in the match against Werder Bremen, was also able to complete some exercises on the pitch.

Despite dropping points recently, Dortmund, who are unbeaten in 16 Bundesliga outings, have every reason to go into the top clash with confidence, something Vincent Kompany also warned of: "They believe they can get a result against us - we believe the same. It's a top match," said the head coach.

After his brace at Bremen, Harry Kane is the first player across Europe's top 10 leagues to have at least 40 competitive goals this season. He's now up to 41 in 35 games. His 26 from 22 matchdays equals Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga record, which the latter set in 2020/21 and again in 2021/22. Chilly February temperatures at Säbener Straße didn't deter numerous supporters of the record champions from attending the first team's open training session. Five days before the Bundesliga home game and the matchday's standout fixture against TSG Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena, plenty of spectators watched Vincent kompany's side being put through their paces in an intensive session.

What was particularly pleasing was that Konrad Laimer completed parts of the team training session again for the first time after tearing a muscle fibre in his calf. Harry Kane, on the other hand, has a cold and was absent.

The programme for the Munich men included some simulated match practice before Manuel Neuer and his teammates signed autographs and, of course, once again fulfilled the fans' numerous requests for selfies.

After two days without training, FC Bayern began preparations for the Bundesliga match against TSG Hoffenheim (Sunday, 17:30 CET) on Tuesday morning. Harry Kane sat out the session at Säbener Straße due to illness.

Friday at Bayern was all about preparations for the away game at Hamburg – a match that is not an ordinary one for coach Vincent Kompany. “HSV remains a special story for me, but so does Hamburg as a city. Anyone who has lived there knows what a special city it is,” he recalled during his press conference, thinking back to his time as a young player in northern Germany. As a promoted team, his former club is “undergoing reconstruction” but “has the potential to be a huge club,” said Kompany, who also warned of HSV’s home form. “I expect a team that will fight for points, that knows this is an important phase of the season and also believes it can achieve something at home. Servus, Konni! While his teammates were still on the way back from Eindhoven, Konrad Laimer was already working hard on his comeback in Munich. The Austrian had torn a muscle fibre in his left calf in the Bundesliga away game at 1. FC Köln (3-1) in the middle of the month and had been out of action ever since. He was now able to complete an individual session on the pitch with the ball for the first time.

After some fine link-up play, Lennart Karl set up the opener for his teammate Jamal Musiala in Eindhoven. It was the 17-year-old's fourth goal involvement in the Champions League (three goals, one assist). Only one other player racked up more goal contributions in this competition before his 18th birthday than Karl - Barcelona's Lamine Yamal had ten.

FC Bayern successfully wrapped up the league phase of the Champions League with a 2-1 away win at PSV Eindhoven. By finishing second in the final table, the Munich side have qualified directly for the round of 16, where they will face either Atalanta, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund or Olympiacos.  Bayern will also enjoy home advantage in the second leg of each of the knockout rounds.

"Today we once again saw a side that impressed as a team and where everyone fights for everyone else," said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen in his post-match banquet speech. "The most important thing we've achieved with the second-place finish is home advantage for all the second legs in the knockout stage. And hopefully we'll have a few more knockout games."

Dreesen also gave Jamal Musiala and Jonas Urbig a special mention in his speech. "I was really pleased for you, Jamal. To score the opener on your return to the starting XI after your long injury means you get a special round of applause," said Dreesen to Musiala. "And we also saw today that goalkeepers can also helped create goals, because you, dear Jonas, certainly played a big part in getting the 2-1," said the CEO, praising goalkeeper Urbig.

However, the packed fixture list meant the Bavarians only had a short time to recover, as they had to start preparing for the final Champions League game of the league phase at PSV Eindhoven (Wednesday, 21:00 CET). "We lost and have to take it in our stride,"explained head coach Vincent Kompany on Saturday after the final whistle at the Allianz Arena: "We can't go putting ourselves down now. We have to move on, we have to react and accept that it wasn't our day." His team took this to heart and applied themselves fully during the training session on Monday afternoon.

Especially as Bayern also had some positive news to start the week. After a persistent infection, Sacha Boey was able to take part in team training again on Monday. His teammates welcomed the Frenchman back in style and had him walk through a guard of honour at the start of the session.

Around two weeks after Josip Stanišić suffered a capsular ligament injury in his right ankle in the season opener against VfL Wolfsburg (8-1), the defender was able to start training with the ball again today. Stanišić completed an individual session at Säbener Straße this morning before his teammates begin their preparations for Wednesday's Champions League game at PSV Eindhoven this afternoon.

Dust yourselves down and move on. Despite their first Bundesliga defeat of the season against Augsburg (2-1), FC Bayern lead rivals Borussia Dortmund by eight points at the top of the table. On Wednesday, FCB are away to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League (21.00 CET) and on Saturday they host Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga (18.30 CET).

Fresh from winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, Nicolas Jackson was finally back in Munich on Friday and given a hero’s welcome at Säbener Straße by his teammates and the club. The 24-year-old was also presented with a giant cake. Board member for sport Max Eberl said, “Congratulations to Nicolas on winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal! We’re so happy about this amazing triumph and are proud that Bayern has a champion of Africa in its ranks.”

Harry Kane more than earned his Man of the Match accolade with his brace in the 2-0 win over Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. It was the 30th time he had scored at least twice in a game for Bayern. Since the start of the 2023/24 season, only Kylian Mbappé has been able to match him in Europe's top five leagues. It was also the striker's 12th brace in the Champions League (seven for Bayern, five for Spurs) – at least twice as many as any other English player in the competition (Wayne Rooney managed six).

Kane has scored at least twice in a Champions League match at the Allianz Arena on six occasions – only Robert Lewandowski did better in his time with the record champions (nine).

The Champions League newcomers caused FC Bayern a few problems in their first league phase match of the year, but after improving their performance in the second half, the Munich side still managed to secure a deserved 2-0 victory. Just one day after their 3-1 away win at 1. FC Köln to wrap up the first half of the season, FC Bayern are already focusing on their next task. There's an absolute cracker in store this coming Saturday with an away game at RB Leipzig. On Thursday, the players who didn't feature in the game in Cologne completed a training session at Säbener Straße.

It was hard work, but in the end Bayern claimed a deserved 3-1 victory at Köln on Wednesday evening. On Tuesday afternoon, FC Bayern held their final training session before heading to 1. FC Köln for their Bundesliga match. A win there would see the German record champions complete the best Bundesliga Hinrunde in history. If the Munich men can put in a performance similar to their recent 8-1 win over Wolfsburg, they have a good chance of doing so: "I hope we can keep this up for a while longer. But what the lads showed on Sunday is not normal, we mustn't forget that. However, the motivation is there, we want to see how far we can go with this form," explained head coach Vincent Kompany in the morning press conference ahead of the match. After the 8-1 win against Wolfsburg, Vincent Kompany now has an average of 2.52 points per game after 50 Bundesliga matches. This is the joint-best points average for a coach in the history of the Bundesliga, alongside former FCB coach Pep Guardiola. When asked about the record, however, the Belgian remained modest: "These aren't my points, they're the players' points," said Kompany.

Happy 29th birthday, Luis Díaz!

‘Lucho’ is a Colombian forward who has been under contract with FC Bayern since 2025. He’s at home both on the left wing and in the centre of the attack and impresses with his explosive acceleration, high-intensity running and oustanding dribbling skills.

The Colombian started playing football in his hometown of Barrancas, where he turned professional before moving to Europe to join Porto in the summer of 2019. After three years there, during which he scored 41 goals in 125 competitive appearances and won the double in Portugal in 2020, he joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022. He made 148 competitive appearances (41 goals) for the legendary English club, celebrating victory in the FA Cup in 2022 and the Premier League title in 2025.

Díaz made his debut for the Colombian national team on 12 September 2018 in a friendly against Argentina (0-0). The forward is now a mainstay in the Los Cafeteros squad. He helped Colombia to a third-place finish at the 2021 Copa América and was the tournament's top scorer (four goals). He even reached the final with Colombia at the 2024 Copa América, but lost 1-0 to Argentina in extra time.

While the squad had Monday off from training, Joshua Kimmich was out on the pitch at Säbener Straße working hard in the snow as he looks to get back to full fitness after a recent ankle issue.

Harry’s sublime strike to make it 6-1 against Wolfsburg took his personal tally for the Bundesliga campaign to 20 goals, meaning he has reached that total in all three of his season’s in Germany. That equals a 60-year record, as the only other player in the Bundesliga’s existence to have ever scored 20 goals or more in their first three campaigns was Timo Konietzka, achieved in the league’s very first three seasons in 1963/64, 1964/65 and 1965/66.

Sunday’s brilliant 8-1 win over Wolfsburg took Bayern up to 44 points, now 11 clear of Borussia Dortmund (33) at the top of the Bundesliga table. However, third-placed RB Leipzig (29) and Hoffenheim in sixth (27) have a game in hand after their fixtures at the weekend got called off, so there could still be some movement at the top end.

Nicolas Jackson is in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal. However, the FC Bayern player didn't feature in the 1-0 (1-0) quarter-final win over Mali in Tangier, Morocco. Iliman Ndiaye scored the winner for Senegal in the 27th minute, and after Mali's Yves Bissouma was sent off after being shown a second yellow card (45+3') just before the break, Senegal played with a one-man advantage for the whole of the second half. In the semi-finals, the Lions of Teranga will now face the winner of next Wednesday's match between Egypt and the Ivory Coast.

Harry Kane has won yet another award: the FC Bayern striker was voted Bundesliga Player of the Month for December by fans and experts alike. The Englishman's credentials included an impressive five goals in three Bundesliga appearances last month. He also set a fabulous record shortly before Christmas, scoring his 100th goal contribution in the competition in just 78 games in a 4-0 win in Heidenheim. The record champions' supporters not only got to see an intense training session, but also enjoyed collecting plenty of autographs and taking selfies with their Bayern idols.

It’s that time again today: the FC Bayern players and management are swarming out this afternoon to meet different fan clubs of the German record champions. Board member for sport Max Eberl already kicked off this special tradition in December when he visited the Rollwagerl 93 e.V. fan club.

After some short mid-season prep with just one friendly against Red Bull Salzburg (6 January), FC Bayern kick off their Bundesliga campaign on Sunday, 11 January with a home game against VfL Wolfsburg. At the end of the month, they'll play last two matches of the Champions League group stage against Royal Union Saint-Gilloise (21 January) and PSV Eindhoven (28 January), in which the Munich men will be looking to secure direct qualification to the round of 16.

Ten-man Senegal beat Benin 3-0 on Tuesday to win group D of the Africa Cup of Nations. Senegal and FCB forward Nicolas Jackson, who did not play, took the lead when Abdoulaye Seck scored in the 38^th minute. Habib Diallo made it two after the restart (62’) before captain Kalidou Koulibaly received his marching orders for a rough challenge. Cherif Ndiaye rounded off the scoreline from the penalty spot in added time (90’+7). Jackson & Co. will face a team who finished their group in third place in the round of 16.

In the second group match of the Africa Cup of Nations, FCB striker Nicolas Jackson and the Senegalese national team drew 1-1 with the Democratic Republic of Congo. In Tangier, Morocco, Jackson and Co. fell behind in the 61st minute after a goal from Cedric Bakambu before former Bayern player Sadio Mané equalised in the 69th minute. After his brace in the first match against Botswana (3-0), Jackson was once again named in the starting XI and came off in the 82nd minute. Ahead of the final group match against Benin, Senegal top Group D with four points ahead of DR Congo (4 points), Benin (3) and Botswana (0).

A perfect start to the Africa Cup of Nations for Nicolas Jackson! The FC Bayern forward and Senegal beat Botswana 3-0 in Tuesday’s first group match. Jackson bagged a brace and played a key role in the victory in Tangier, Morocco. The 24-year-old started and was subbed off in the 78^th minute. Jackson & Co. face DR Congo in the second group match on Saturday.

Following the friendly at Red Bull Salzburg on 6 January, FC Bayern will resume their Bundesliga campaign with a home game against VfL Wolfsburg on 11 January.

Happy birthday, Rapha! The Portugal international player turns 32 today.

Raphaël Guerreiro joined FC Bayern from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. During his seven years with the Black and Yellows, the versatile left-footed player made 224 competitive appearances (40 goals) and won the DFB Cup twice (2017 and 2021). However, the Portugal international's footballing roots lie in France: after spells with his boyhood club Blanc-Mesnil SF, at INF Clairefontaine, the French Football Federation's national training centre, and at SM Caen, he made his Ligue 1 debut for FC Lorient in the summer of 2013.

However, Guerreiro later opted to play for his father's homeland and made his debut for the Portuguese national team in November 2014. He won the European Championship with them in France in 2016 and secured the UEFA Nations League title three years later.

With less than five days to go until the last match of 2025, Alphonso Davies and his teammates had to kick into high gear once again during Wednesday's training session and muster their last reserves of energy to ensure a strong finish to the season on Sunday at 1. FC Heidenheim. In addition to some sprinting drills, Vincent Kompany's team also undertook various match simulation exercises. Bayern’s boss has been presented with the Raymond Goethals Trophy as the best Belgian coach of the last year. Kompany beat Nicky Hayen (formerly of Club Brugge) and Sébastien Pocognoli (formerly of Union Saint-Gilloise, now with Monaco), who shared second place. It’s the first time that a Bayern coach has won the award.

“It’s an incredible honour. This award means a lot to me – even more so when you see the names of previous winners and the history associated with this trophy. Raymond is still a role model for every Belgian coach and also those beyond our borders,” the 39-year-old said in a video message at the ceremony.

Striker Nicolas Jackson played his final Bayern game of 2025 against Mainz on Sunday. Today he left Munich to join up with the Senegal squad as they prepare to compete at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, which begins on 21 December. Senegal, who won the continental title in 2022, kick off against Botswana on 23 December. “We hope he goes as far as possible. You shouldn’t underestimate how important this tournament is for African players,” Vincent Kompany said after the draw with Mainz.

FC Bayern's 3-1 win over Sporting Lisbon has already secured them a place in the top 24 with six matchdays of the league phase of the Champions League played. Jamal Musiala has been doing work on the pitch for around five weeks now as he continues his recovery from a horrible leg/ankle break at the Club World Cup in the summer. He’s been able to do some exercises with the ball and continued his progress during Monday morning’s session.

It’s a quiet day at Säbener Straße with the squad given the day off following yesterday's win over St. Pauli and with a short turnaround time until Wednesday’s next game away at Union Berlin in the DFB Cup.

Still without the internationals, Bayern continued their preparations for this Saturday's Bundesliga match against Freiburg on Tuesday morning. Among those involved was Alphonso Davies, who has been joining in with parts of team training again since Monday.

Even though many FC Bayern players are currently not in Munich because of the international break, there was plenty going on at Säbener Straße on Monday. The focus was particularly on Jamal Musiala, Hiroki Ito and Alphonso Davies, who all took the next big steps in their rehab.

Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise booked their ticket for the World Cup finals on Thursday night thanks to France’s 4-0 win over Ukraine.

Congratulations, Lenny! Bayern attacker Lennart Karl has been presented with his silver Fritz Walter Medal (players born in 2008) by Germany U21s assistant coach Shkodran Mustafi. This award recognises special performances in the U17 and U19 age groups.

From Bayern Women, Alara Şehitler in the U19 category (2006) and Luzie Zähringer (2008) in the U17 category were both awarded gold, while Marie Gmeineder picked up the bronze in the U17s.

The German national team are aiming to cement their place at the top of Group A in World Cup qualifying in Luxembourg on Friday night. Ahead of the match, Bayern centre-back Jonathan Tah was asked about motivation against the minnows: “To be honest, it’s not difficult. Happy birthday, Dayot Upamecano! Our centre-back celebrates his 27th birthday today.

The France international has been playing for Bayern since the summer of 2021. The defender was born in France and started his senior career at Red Bull Salzburg. After a year and a half in Austria, he moved to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, where he played for a total of four years before joining the German record champions.

The pitch at Säbener Straße is filling up again as Bayern’s Germany and France internationals re-joined training on Wednesday morning after returning to Munich. Every international match involving a Bayern player has now finished for October, meaning Vincent Kompany will soon have his full squad available again to work with.

Although many players weren’t yet back in Munich, Bayern fans still got to see some of their favourite stars up close in training at Tuesday’s open session. Manuel Neuer and the squad made sure to take time for plenty of autographs and selfies with the supporters at Säbener Straße, while injured duo Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala also stopped by.

UEFA have announced their plans from the 2027/28 campaign to introduce an official opening match in the Champions League that would see the title holders play at home on the Tuesday of Matchday 1. The other teams would then kick off their campaigns on the Wednesday and Thursday. It’s not yet been confirmed if that will also apply to the women’s competition.

With around a dozen players from the reserves bolstering numbers, Bayern held their first team training session ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund on Monday afternoon. Although several senior players were still away with their national teams, it didn’t stop the likes of Manuel Neuer, Sacha Boey and the rest from getting down to business for the week.

Most players are still away with their national teams around the world, but back in Munich Vincent Kompany and his team are starting to turn their attentions to Saturday’s Bundesliga game against Borussia Dortmund with training on Monday afternoon. There will also be an open session with fans at 10:30 CEST on Tuesday.

While it’s currently quiet at Säbener Straße because of the international break, Bayern players are making a splash all around the world. Luis Díaz was on the scoresheet for Colombia in a 4-0 friendly win against Mexico in the USA overnight on Sunday, continuing his impressive record this season. The forward has been directly involved in 13 goals (seven goals, six assists) in 13 matches for club and country. Keep it up, Lucho!

Joshua Kimmich not only scored a brace in Germany’s 4-0 win over Luxembourg on Friday, but also strengthened his standing in German international history. The versatile midfielder made his 104th appearance for his country, moving above Franz Beckenbauer (103) in the all-time ranking. Kimmich is now joint 11th together with Per Mertesacker and could already break into the top 10 in Northern Ireland on Monday. Tenth place is currently occupied by Jürgen Kohler with 105 caps.

Serge Gnabry and his colleagues in the German national team take on Luxembourg this evening (Friday). The FC Bayern winger is hoping to take his recent good form into the World Cup qualifier in Sinsheim. “Goals and assists obviously help attacking players to feel a certain easiness,” said the 30-year-old at the pre-match press conference yesterday. “You get into a groove and don’t worry too much about the possibility of not being picked in the next game.” Gnabry has made a strong start to the season in the Bayern attack and was also on the scoresheet in Germany’s recent 3-1 win over Northern Ireland.

Harry Kane has been recognised with the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for September. After seven goals in three league games last month, the accolade is more than deserved for the Englishman. Congratulations, Harry!

Harry Kane won’t be involved in England’s friendly against Wales tonight. “He got a kick in his last game with Bayern and it is too risky he gets another kick and would be in an up-and-down situation pain-wise,” explained Three Lions head coach Thomas Tuchel at his pre-match press conference. Kane is expected to be available for the following World Cup qualifier in Latvia on Tuesday.

There was good news from the training ground on Thursday morning as Josip Stanišić completed another running session at Säbener Straße. The Croatian international, who suffered a partial ligament tear in his right knee in the Champions League match against Chelsea last month, already returned to the pitch on Monday. The next target for the 25-year-old is a return to full training.

Bayern in first place! Even though it’s only a snapshot after two matchdays, a look at the Champions Leage standings should put a smile on the face of all Bayern fans. Thanks to the two wins over Chelsea (3-1) and Pafos (5-1), Vincent Kompany’s side are sitting pretty at the top of the league phase table. Bayern also lead the Bundesliga with five wins from five and a goal difference of +19.

At 11:43 CEST, special flight XG3573 departed Larnaka in Cyprus for Munich, carrying the players and staff of FC Bayern. After a little less than three and a half hours in the air, the Airbus A340 landed safely at 14:20 CEST. Having experienced temperatures of 28 degrees in Cyprus, Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Co returned to just 12 degrees in Munich. At least the team brought the sunshine with them as well as three points – it was also shining down from the sky in the Bavarian capital.

With no midweek game, coach Vincent Kompany has had four training sessions with his team this week before the match against Werder Bremen on Friday evening (20:30 CEST). In today’s session, Konrad Laimer, Michael Olise and Co worked up a sweat despite weather of 11 degrees and rain in Munich.

Bayern’s players trained in the rain on Monday as they now prepare to host Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Friday. Hat-trick hero Harry Kane and the rest of the players who started at Hoffenheim at the weekend were allowed to finish a little earlier.
