Six Bayern players are in the Germany squad for the World Cup. With Manuel Neuer, Jonathan Tah, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala, and Aleksandar Pavlović, the German record champions make up the biggest contingent in the squad. For Neuer, who returns to the national team after his retirement following Euro 2024, it will be his fifth World Cup. In addition, Jonas Urbig will travel to America with the squad as an extra goalkeeper but is not part of the 26-man squad.
