FC Bayern kick off their pre-season preparations for the 2026/27 season under the guidance of head coach Vincent Kompany today. Whilst the World Cup participants will be phased back into training over the coming weeks, Sven Ulreich, Tom Bischof, João Palhinha, Bryan Zaragoza, Sacha Boey and Arijon Ibrahimović from the first-team squad are already available. Serge Gnabry, Lennart Karl, David Santos Daiber and Cassiano Kiala will continue to be gradually reintegrated into the squad as part of their rehab.
First up are performance diagnostics. The majority of the World Cup participants including the Germany internationals will undergo the relevant tests on 27 and 28 July and then travel individually to the training camp at the Tegernsee. Luis Díaz, Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanišić will join the squad ahead of the Audi Summer Tour to Jeju and Hong Kong (departure on 1 August). Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano will join the squad upon their return from Asia, as will Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Ismael Saibari, Gnabry and Karl, who will train in Munich.
During the training camp at the Tegernsee from 27 to 30 July, there will be daily open training session at 15:30 CEST. The friendly against FC Rottach-Egern on 30 July will, as always, be available to watch via a free live stream on FC Bayern’s official channels.
